Magnabilities

Carrying on the theme of bright and bold colors, our new “This Just In” is Magnabilities. Magnabilities is a “necklace system” with hundreds of interchangeable designs and color inserts. Just like the magnets that you put on a refrigerator, this line really is creative! Just begin with your pendant and cord of choice, and swap the magnetic inserts so that they match any outfit or occasion.

All made in the USA, this line reflects influences of paper and fabric designs that are unique to you and all one-of-a-kind.

At Jewelry By The Bay, this is one of our newest and most interactive lines! Starting at $28 for a whole set and $4.99 per insert or 3 for $12, Magnabilities truly are a year round must have!

Lilly Barrack

Elegant and “tres chic,” our second addition this week is Lilly Barrack, a southwestern artist. Her line takes inspiration and influence from her life in Africa and Greece. What really sets her line apart is her unique use of semiprecious stones in their raw and natural forms. Raw tourmaline, amethyst, and aquamarine, just to name a few, are some of the bright colors she uses to really make each ring, necklace, earring, and bracelet ensemble pop!

This jewelry is such a modern and sophisticated addition to Jewelry By The Bay and offers another one-of-a-kind and uniquely organic look.

Cesar’s World

Cesar Palmas’ Cesar’s World truly is a new Jewelry By The Bay favorite. Cesar’s featured Butterfly collection and silver fume glass collection really fits in our June trends forecast of bright and bold colored jewelry.

Inspired by his homeland Peru, each piece of his butterfly collection is handcrafted using real butterfly wings and the highest quality .950 silver. This collection really incorporates his culture and desire to preserve one of Peru’s most natural habitats and species.

Depending on the species, butterflies live up to four weeks. Working closely with the inhabitants of the Peruvian rainforest, Cesar helps aid their income by working closely with them to collect the butterflies at the end of their life cycle. No butterflies were harmed in this process.

Some of his favorite butterfly species included in his collection are: Agrias Claudia, Morpho Amathonte, Papilio Segreus, and Urania Leilus.

His second feature collection, silver fume glass, is hand crafted with the utmost care. Using sterling silver fumes blown into clear glass, Cesar creates unique designs that really make each piece wearable art.

June Trends: Interchangeable, Fresh and Bright Colors

June 8th, 2010

Featured Artist Lori Bonn:

Jewelry By The Bay’s June fashion forecast is marked by dramatic, bright, and intricate colors. Our first featured artist is world traveler Lori Bonn. Her work is known for exemplifying such styles in her new collection Bonn Bons.

Inspired by 19th century English Victorian slide charms, Bonn Bons is made with precious metals and silverwork with the intent of becoming heirlooms.

Interchangeable charms can be paired together at your choice to create a bracelet all your own. Perfect for every mood, season, budget and occassion -  graduation recommended gift!

Featured Artist Kameleon:

Kameleon jewelry is comparable to the characteristics of a chameleon; able to change color depending on its mood and settings.

Inspired by nature, Kameleon’s motto is that “change is natural,” and this is exactly why Jewelry By The Bay has chosen to feature it this June as spring comes to an end and summer begins.

Kameleon jewelry starts off with bases, such as bracelets, rings, earrings and pendants, and then it is up to you to pick from a multitude of interchangeable jewel pop inserts.

~Both of our featured artists’ interchangeable charms and jewels pops come in a variety of semi-precious stones, enamel, Murano glass, Swarovski crystal, Cubic Zirconia, and lab created opals.~
